Freemason’s Hall<\/a> is one of the finest Art Deco buildings in London. It welcomes more than 200,000 people per year from all over the world, including members who attend meetings and guests who attend special events. The building was originally erected as a memorial to honor the thousands of Freemasons who fought during the WWI. Today, Freemason’s Hall is home to the United Grand Lodge of England.<\/p>\n

When Freemason\u2019s Hall<\/a> decided to renovate and update its main entrance and stairwell, they asked Connected Light<\/a> to come up with a new solution to enhance the lighting experience in these areas of the building.<\/p>\n

Matt Holway, CEO of Connected Light, says: \u201cWe were previously aware of this fine building and we strived to give it the right impression by improving lighting solutions with the latest LED technology and discreet light sources. Due to the difficulties and limitations associated with running cables in a culturally protected building, Casambi was at the top of our list when it came to lighting control options.”<\/p>\n

With a varied and complete range of Casambi products, 55 units were installed through each luminaire in the large hall and along the stairs, all the way up to the ceiling of the upper floor. The modules used were DALI, 24vDC, 1-10v and protocols with phase dimming.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this solution to control our lighting design, we had the flexibility to easily access all light points, to create scenarios and to time all settings. We can now create all the different effects without requiring additional wiring or help from others, \u201dsays Matt Holway.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the installation of Casambi’s complete stair lighting control, with several functions and the user-friendly Bluetooth functions, the project was a great success.<\/p>\n
